When a warning light comes on or something feels wrong

Diagnostic check

A warning light or a fault found, tested and explained, with a fixed price for the repair. The fee comes off the repair.

Petrol prices. Diesel, hybrid and electric prices in the quote. About 1 hour in the workshop.

  • Price agreed first. Every job is quoted before we start. Anything extra, we call you and wait for a yes.
  • 24-month warranty. Parts and labour, 24 months or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first.
  • Keeps your car’s warranty. Parts to manufacturer spec and a stamped service record, so the factory warranty stands.

What we do

A fault code tells you where to look, not what is wrong. A misfire code can be a plug, a coil, an injector or a split hose. Clearing the light and hoping is how a £60 repair becomes a £600 one.

A diagnostic check is an hour of a technician’s time with dealer-level equipment. We read the codes, test the part they point at, and show you what we found. Then you get a fixed price for the repair, and the check fee comes off it if you go ahead within 30 days.

Intermittent faults are harder. If it only happens on a cold morning, tell us when you book and we will plan the check around it.

“Engine light had been on for a month and two places just cleared it. Here they found a split vacuum hose, showed it to me, and knocked the £69 off the repair.”
